Botanical Building Fountains

Built for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition, these two round fountains were in a sorry state. In preparation for the 2015 Centennial celebration, the three members of the Balboa Park Alliance (The Committee of One Hundred, the Friends of Balboa Park, and the Balboa Park Trust at the San Diego Foundation) agreed to fund the restoration of the fountains, new lighting, and a redesigned water supply and pump system that will put these historic fountains back into service. The project, led by the Friends of Balboa Park, is nearing completion.
