Restoration of the Cabrillo Bridge lamps

These 31 double lamps from the 1915-1916 Panama-California Exposition have now been restored. The project was completed in December, 2016. The Committee of One Hundred, the Friends of Balboa Park, the Balboa Park Conservancy, and the Balboa Park Trust at the San Diego Foundation initiated the project by contributing $25,000 each. The City funded the remaining costs and contracted for the restoration process, adding new globes and LED lights.

Support from our members and donors enables our efforts to preserve Balboa Park’s architectural heritage for our children and grandchildren to enjoy.
