The thirty-one double lamps from the 1915-1916 Panama-California Exposition were restored in this project, completed in December, 2016. The Committee of One Hundred, the Friends of Balboa Park, the Balboa Park Conservancy, and the Balboa Park Trust at the San Diego Foundation initiated the project by contributing $25,000 each. The City funded the remaining costs and contracted for the restoration process, adding new globes and LED lights.
